Our skin is a living breathing organ and is larger in size than any other organ in the body. When skin comes into contact with anything it evaluates it and responds. Our skin is our bodies’ natural defence against millions of tiny invaders. With all the environmental challenges we have today I was wondering what I could do to keep this organ in shape.
Calendula Extract - in every good Warriors first aid kit
Calendula, a common plant native to Mediterranean countries, and its extract, was carried by soldiers as their first aid kit. It was well regarded for treatment of wounds and ulcers with calendula's medicinal features often being the only thing stopping an open wound from becoming septic.

Lavender Essential Oil - A Gift From the Greeks

There is a good reason why. It is a calming, relaxing oil, which combats stress and crisis, while its antiseptic properties help with cold, flu and other ailments. Its vapours are excellent for asthma and migraines. Apart from that it supports female health and on the skin it has a healing effect, while preventing scarring and balancing the skin and smoothing out skin tone.

Chamomile Extract - love potion of the gods
Chamomile dates back at least to the time of the Ancient Egyptians, when it was dedicated to their sun god for being a cure for the 'Ague' or fever. It is mentioned as an herb during the middle ages and is one of the ‘Nine Sacred Herbs’ of the Anglo Saxons. Chamomile is the one ingredient found in all love potions and mentioned in Greek mythology as used by the gods.

Olive oil has long been promoted as one of the healthiest oils on the market, and while it is true that olive oil has many health benefits, and far outweighs most of the oils available, avocado oil may be the healthier option.
